This notice applies to the project assistant on VAD Constructions and Queen City Backsplash, a division of VAD Constructions.
Starting a chat allows us to store your questions, the assistant’s answers, a random conversation reference, and timestamps on our private web-server database for up to 30 days. We use this information to help with projects and improve our approved answers. Staff with authorized server access can review conversations.
When AI is enabled, questions and limited previous project context are sent to OpenAI through its API to select an approved business answer. We request that responses are not stored as API response objects; provider processing and applicable retention still follow OpenAI’s data controls. Guided mode uses no AI provider.
Please avoid sensitive information in chat. Send contact details through the website’s quote form, which uses our existing inquiry service for project follow-up. This chat does not automatically submit a quote request or book an appointment.
We use short-lived, hashed network identifiers to limit abuse. Your browser keeps a signed chat token in this tab's session storage so reloading can continue the same conversation; it is removed when the tab closes. Clicking Request a quote may temporarily keep your reference and questions in this tab's session storage to transfer them to the quote form; the form removes that temporary copy when it loads. previous messages are not displayed after reloading, but project context may be used to continue the conversation. Website hosting may separately retain ordinary access logs. Protected local backups may retain deleted conversations for up to seven additional days.
